Tywi Tactical 35L Baby Bergen
The Tywi Tactical 35L Baby Bergen was a development of our popular 35L Commanders Pack.
Our 35L Baby Bergen was developed for an airborne member of the British military who required a large capacity daysack to blur the line between daysack and bergen.
We used our 35L commanders pack as the base of this build, we then added mesh slip pockets inside the two front zipped utility pouches.
As well as the different front utility pouches we replaced the mesh side pouches with zipped side pouches, for added load capacity we fitted slip pockets behind these zipped side pouches with small drain holes allowing basha poles, etc to be carried while ensuring water drains away without pooling.
The most unique aspect of our 35L daysack design is our main zip closure system which we developed instead of using a traditional draw cord closure, this came from our years of experience operating in the Welsh mountains needing to rapidly access the contents of our pack with incredibly cold and uncooperative hands.
One of our main aims for our 35L daysack designs was for the packs to have an extremely high level of comfort which has certainly been achieved.
